YOLO!

Being fearless and fearful because our choice and time are limited. This is written for my project of 30 days of writing to write anything interesting. This is dedicated to living the way you want to.

How to give meaning to life?

Life is not always a win-win situation. You probably even ended up in a place where it’s not advantageous for you (a lot). I know it’s hard to enjoy things when you know everything may fall apart with one mistake.

Life is fragile. It is designed to be like that. Strangely, I found fragility is beautiful. It shows that what I enjoy now might not be enjoyed later by the people after. That’s fine, but it made me ponder about how I live my life.

YOLO: You Only Live Once. Make the best out of it.

Well, I personally think it’s not always about taking chances. Sometimes it’s about playing safe. It might be about maintaining balance or chasing your dream if you got one. Peaceful or exciting, it’s your call.

I often found my friends discussed their options with me, big decisions. Sharing my perspective always shows how reckless I am as a person because I follow my heart. I do what I want, against the odds. Well, that’s only about my personal decision.

My logic challenges me and telling me it’s a stupid idea to decide with my heart. Well, they are right. I get involved in a weird and complicated situation ever since. I don’t regret it though.

Following what you desire instead of what’s for the best is not the same for everyone. For me, what’s best is something I will not regret in the future. It’s doing what’s important and things my guts tell me about.

For some, it might be doing what’s more beneficial. The choice is where you gain the most and lose the least.

Losing is scary. As I get older, I don’t really think that I ever lose anything. Things just come and go. We never really lose something. It is what it is.

Later on, I understand by letting go, I’m being saved from the fear of losing. Saying actual goodbye is not as scary as fear of being apart.

If anything I can be grateful for, it’s my responsible nature. No matter how messed up it is, I always stand by my choice. So, live your life to the fullest but be responsible for it.

Follow your heart only if you have the guts to pay the price.
