My Old Motivation

My recycled writing in medium 2 years ago. This is written for my project of 30 days of writing to write anything interesting. This is written to remember my true motivation when I first start writing.

Why bother writing?

Why do I write? Why I’m here in the first place? This writing might answer some of your questions if you can keep up and scroll down.

You might find anything written down here are weird or have another opinion. That’s fine, disagreement is natural. Overreacting over someone who differs from you, now that’s a problem.

Okay, first things first why do I write? Writing is some form of expression to communicate with others. Words and sentences are symbols to let us communicate. It’s an exchange of information from the one who speak and the one who listens. Rather than people, sometimes writing is a way for you to talk with yourself.

It is a way, to re-think your thoughts and see more clearly about what’s in your head. What you say is something filtered out of what you actually think about, sometimes the spontaneity of the moment wouldn’t let us say what we want to.

What is writing for me?

Writing is a way to connect with my inner voice. Something resembles a deep talk with myself, to listen about things I cannot say out loud or cannot express fully. I always think about it as an intimate moment to ask myself about what I feel, think, and what am I going to do about it. Re-thinking about things that running around my head is easier if I write it down. It also helps me resolve things, think of it as a civilized way to get things out of your system.
